Five tips on getting back on track with Slimming World after a break

I always find that when I have been on holiday it takes me a while to get back into Slimming World. I also really struggled to start Slimming World. I didn’t see results until after six months however, I didn’t put any weight back on – after nine weddings last year, a few incredible holidays I am surprised that didn’t happen but if I hadn’t been following the slimming world plan then I would have piled the weight back on.
With holiday season well underway, I wanted to share my tips on getting back on track

SP Days
I actually have to go cold turkey – having a few SP days in the week really gets me focused and back on track. It means I have a week the week after to really look forward to eating pasta and jacket potatoes.

Planning
You may have seen on my Instagram account that I love planning. My organiser by Amelia Lane which I bought from Not On The High Street really helps me in organising my life. It has your monthly planner in there, to-do list etc but the best part is, at the end of each day it has a planner for your exercise and food diary.
Even if I just write my food and my syns in there at the end of each week it is really useful because I can see where I have had good week or a bad day. This helps to keep me focused too because (and yes I am a massive geek) but I get really excited about adding my syns in at the end of the day because I am proud I have stuck to plan.

Food prepping
If you are like me and love cooking – this should be your favourite part of Slimming World because the food is so fantastic.
I love batch cooking knowing that when I have a busy week I can drag a really fulfilling meal out of the freezer and its ready in a couple of minutes.
Again, I am just really organised so if you can’t batch cook if you are living at home with parents or you hate cooking – slimming world meals are a great option for busy weeks.

Salads are great too as you can shove them in a bowl at the beginning of the week and they will be all ready to shove in a food container with some meat or Quorn. I love the Hellmann's Fat Free Vinaigrette as it adds some flavour to my salads and best of all, it’s syn free.

Exercise
Yes, this is also really hard to get back into but before I go to bed in the morning I lay out my gym closes on the chair beside me all ready and pack my bag the night before to ensure I am ready and don’t lie there dreading the rush about.
If you don’t go to the gym some HITT training from home on a gym mat will do the trick. Start by doing fifteen minutes every morning finding videos on Youtube. I’d recommend any of the Lean in 15 ones as they are really good.

Shopping
This is my favourite tip. Do not go shopping if you are hungry. Make yourself a bowl of soup and then go shopping because if you are anything like me you will buy the entire shop if you go in there hungry!

Have a shopping list already written out – this will really help. Another option is to do all your food shopping online because that will make sure you avoid temptation when looking at all the lovely goodies they conveniently place at the till.

My Take Away Resruarant Slimming World Syns List

I find it really difficult to find up to date information about Slimming World online. I think this is because all of the Forums are from between 2010 and 2014 when the 'Red and Green' days still existed. Obviously Slimming World has changed somewhat since then and it makes the new guidelines for the plan much easier however...I cannot find anything online about Take Away food. I know that Slimming World has pages for each of the most popular take aways but it doesn't really go into much detail about their syns, especially my favorite which is Thai Food. Here is a list of everything I have compiled together for a 2017 Slimming World Take Away Restaurant Syns List. As it will take some time to go through this I am going to be writing my findings in a series of posts about how you can still eat take aways on your Slimming World plan. THAI FOOD Starting with my absolute favorite. On the main Slimming World website it does suggest things like Pad Thai Jay or Khao

Slimming world lunches on a budget

Slimming World is known for having so many different items of food that you can eat with low syns or no syns at all. Often lunch time is where you find the highest syns with lots of bread, creamy sauces and carbs everywhere! I went to the gym this morning and stocked up for next week on a four items all under 3 syns each. First things first Batchelor's Pasta 'n' Sauce which if you follow me on Instagram you will know is one of my absolute go to, quick fix lunches. I think I have had it most days this week. Anyway...In the supermarket today I found these and they are only 1.5 syns. SYN HEAVEN. They are great because you don't need to add anything else other than hot water and they taste the same as the packets. They are limited in options though as there was only this flavour and the chicken and mushroom one on the shelves. The chicken and mushroom pot was also 1.5 syns. On the Slimming World Lifeline Online there is another options but maybe they haven&#
